Memphis and Saqqaura

The top two pictures are at Saqqaura...the very first pyramid built in Egypt. It is a step pyramid and it is extremely old. Every pyramid has a temple attached somewhere nearby so the top picture is of some columns in the temple next to the pyramid. It is amazing how beautiful and well preserved these ruins are. They are thousands and thousands of years old and they are still around for us to see. It is amazing to be in a place with so much rich history. The bottom picture is in Memphis. The first capitol of the United Kingdoms. It is near present day Cairo...there were a ton of cool artifacts including a GIANT Ramses statue. It was really fun to look at all of the cool things they have found in the area.
